QuickSun solar simulators measure the IV characteristics of PV modules and cells during a single flash of a Xenon gas discharge lamp.

The spectrum is filtered to comply with Class A requirements of the standard IEC60904-4. The spectral characteristics of all delivered simulators are measured with a calibrated real time spectrometer and the results are reported to the customers.

Also the irradiance non-uniformity is measured following the guidelines and specifications of the same standard. With QuickSun simulators Class A irradiance non-uniformity is achieved in a straightforward and reliable way.

For example, changing the flash tube does not require extensive tuning procedures but only a simple and quick flash head alignment is enough.

Voltage, current and temperature measurement accuracies are separately calibrated with traceable reference instruments to comply with the specifications given in the standard IEC60904-1. A certificate is provided with every delivered QuickSun simulator.
